Heritage Open Day: Experience Georgian grandeur on a human scale; Berrington Hall is a neoclassical mansion by Henry Holland set within ‘Capability’ Brown’s final landscape and gardens. Discover jewel-like interiors within the Georgian mansion and uncover the story of Ann Harley, first lady of Berrington, and see her restored 18th century court mantua dress. Head outside and explore the ‘Capability’ Brown parkland; take a walk around the lake and see if you can find the den building area nestled in the woods. Take a seat in the walled garden and admire the apple trees laden with fruit. You can also run wild in the natural play area and treat yourself to your favourite light lunches, snacks, cakes and hot and cold drinks from the Old Servants' Hall tea-room.
