Newport Roman Villa - Free Entry
Heritage Open Day: Newport Roman Villa will be open Free of charge on Friday 16 September. Come and discover the remains of this third century Roman farmhouse - with 'one of the best bath suites in Southern Britain'. Newport Roman Villa is situated on the outskirts of Newport. It is an excellent example of a third century winged corridor farmhouse - with extensive well preserved remains. The Villa has a bath suite with hypocaust, underfloor heating and cold bath. There is a small Roman garden, activity room and museum display showing some of the Island's latest archaeological discoveries.
