St James' Church, Norton

Heritage Open Day: Visit St James' to explore the heritage of this 12th Century Church in the south of the city. Special displays and information about the church's bells and newly restored windows. Cake and refreshments are available throughout. Take yourself on a self-lead tour using our pop-up banners around the church, or chat with our volunteers about the history of this impressive building. We have recently restored the Church's windows, which are looking magnificent, and have an interesting story to tell about the Church's 'Astounding Invention': rare Ellacombe chimes - with an opportunity to 'have a go'. We are also hosting talks and demonstrations. - Saturday 10th: Stained glass and the church windows by Mark Harvey of Park Glass studio.
