St Peter's Church, High Street, Offord Darcy
Heritage Open Day: St Peter’s, which is sedately set apart from the village and main road, contains a mixture of craftsmanship from several periods as artisans over the centuries have altered, enlarged and beautified the church. St Peter’s church with its Norman arches to the north aisle dating from around 1130, shows the four styles of English church architecture. The south aisle has graceful Gothic arches. There is a double piscina in the chancel and an angle piscina with sedilia in the south aisle. The church became redundant in 1978 and was vested in the Churches Conservation Trust.
