Heritage Open Day: Visitors can feel the ambience of this amazing church in its architecture and stained-glass windows.. Simultaneously view an extensive exhibition of its history, the Jeffcock family who consecrated it and of congregation activities over years. The building is a Grade II Heritage Church, built 150 years ago (1872) in response to the worst mining disaster in England to that date and was consecrated in memoriam of the engineer, Parkin Jeffcock, who was killed in the second day explosion of the Oaks Colliery along with 360 miners and boys.
