The Farmland Museum and Denny Abbey
Heritage Open Day: Farming and life in the Fens is FULL of astounding inventions! From sail reapers, to eel catchers and coffee grinders, we'll be showcasing them all. Enjoy live music from Burwell Folk all day and children can make some fun crafts to take home. Our independent museum tells the 850-year story of farming and life in the Cambridgeshire Fens, in addition to being the location of Denny Abbey, the beautiful former Benedictine monastery which we manage on behalf of English Heritage. Enjoy free entry to the site and lots of activities for Heritage Open Days 2022!
The Farmland Museum and Denny Abbey will be celebrating Astounding Inventions with special displays focusing on farming and life in the Cambridgeshire Fens.
Local musicians, Burwell Folk, will be playing live for your entertainment all day and there will be children's craft activities too.
Make sure to visit the Docky Box Cafe for astounding cakes and bakes while you're here!
