Heritage Open Day: Local history for all the family - find out how your ancestors are part of The Making of St Helens in our exhibition; see original banners carried by local colliery workers and make your own, buy something made in St Helens and enjoy a yummy cake! Join us for a weekend of local history for all the family. Many of the stories are within living memory, come and share yours! As well as our exhibition, The Making of St Helens, there will be a special chance to see the original banners carried by the workers from local collieries. The banners were saved by Ian Henderson, and he will be kindly bringing them along and talking about his experiences as a miner.
