The Blitz Up North
Heritage Open Day: We all know about the WWII Blitz in London but we're taught shockingly little about the blitz in the North of England. This exhibition will explore how the Blitz affected northern towns and cities. Relatively little light has been shed on the impact of the Blitz outside of the South of England. Many towns in the North were badly affected by the Blitz, but are at risk of being forgotten by history. This exhibition will give more of an insight into the Blitz up North, including towns such as Sheffield and Hull. There is so much to learn, it's a must see for anyone wanting to know more about the northern history and how the war touched so many lives across the country.
