The Very Grimm Brothers - Unlocked

The Very Grimm Brothers - Unlocked

Grimm Ade (poems) and Grimm John (guitar) live at Castle Grimm. It’s not all plain sailing. They share their innermost fears & woes & décor challenges, the relief of wild swimming, lemon drizzle, a thermos of Ovaltine and Castle Grimm’s dark secret.

Told through heart-warming and funny original poems, songs, music and an aeronautical display. With Real Acting.

The Very Grimm Brothers are Adrian Mealing, a Malvern Poetry Slam Champ who sings à cappella with Men In General, A Fistful of Spookies and The Spooky Men’s Chorale. And John Denton who wears several musical hats including John Denton’s Midnight Band and The Fezz, a homage to Steely Dan.

If you attended our Fistful of Spookies concert you will recognise Adrian as the leader of the Spookies. If you enjoyed our Ian McMillan concert you'll not want to miss The Very Grimm Brothers.

Here's what others thought of the show:

'a great mix of poetry, comedy, silliness and wistfulness - a fabulous evening!' Church Stretton Arts Festival
‘so inventive, so funny!’ Bridgnorth Festival
‘just pure magic’ Gareth Price-Bathurst
‘consummate performance … loved the lilting musicality’ Reaction Theatre Makers
‘Brought a little tear to my eye’ Nottingham Lakeside
‘The Zaphod Beeblebrox of poetry’ Simon Garrity
‘cheered us up good’n’proper’ Bolton Socialist Club
‘the audience was gripped’ The Theatre of Small Curiosities

The Very Grimm Brothers have appeared alongside the Peatbog Faeries, Attila the Stockbroker, John Hegley, Elvis McGonagall & Roger McGough to name but a few and now we're excited to be bringing them to Chapel.
