Sheffield Skeptics in the Pub hosts monthly meetings of talks by invited experts of interest to the general public. Our September meeting has the title:
'Insectageddon: Where have all the Insects Gone?' by Chris Hassell
Who remembers those wonderful summer days, driving through country lanes, and your windscreen and bonnet being covered with dead insects at the end of your journey? What’s happened to them? Is the insect population really declining? And if so, why and should we be worried?
Dr Christopher Hassall is Associate Professor of Animal Biology at the University of Leeds.
Sheffield Skeptics in the Pub was founded in December 2009 and is a good way for people from all walks of life to hear from experts and discuss with them important issues that affect us all, while enjoying a pint.
