Dreading Poetry Slam
Making Poetry Fun Again
Dreading Slam is a friendly, open mic poetry competition. We welcome poets of all standards, as well as any audience who want the chance to appreciate live poetry. The reason for having a competition is to encourage the poets to perform work that connects with the audience.
To Compete bring 3 poems, up to 3 minute long, which you wrote. Bring 3 as there is more than one round
The winner can consider themselves the best poet in Berkshire (for few weeks).
There is the chance to read outside the competition, although the 3 minute limit still applies.
We have also introduced a quick-fire fun competition for each month.
