Eco Footstool making 2-day workshop 3/4 December
Just in time for Christmas! Learn how to make your own eco footstool at this easy to follow 2-day workshop and you get to take it home with you or gift it to your loved ones!
Choose between a small or large footstool frame (details and prices below). We provide all the materials you need and they are included in the price. We just ask you to bring a piece of fabric with you or you can take pot luck and choose from our box of fabric pieces at the workshop (just ask).The finish and fabric is up to you and we encourage you to be as creative as you like!
Our small footstool is made from solid beech and the attached legs can be painted or stained. Our large footstool is made from a combination of good quality 10mm plywood and hardwood with solid beech screw in legs with raw finish ready to stain or paint. We use only natural fillings to upholster our footstools and we take you through the techniques required and how to handle the materials. All tools are supplied for your use during the course with full instructions given.
This course is suitable for complete beginners as well as improvers so no previous experience necessary! Please note that we limit the number of places at our classes to around 5-6 students in order to ensure that everyone gets plenty of contact time with your tutor. Our upholstery courses take place in our commercial workshop at Barrows House, Tweentown, Cheddar. The entrance is at the side of the building next door to A-M Hairstylist.
We include tea/coffee breaks during the day but we ask you to bring a packed lunch. We have a dedicated kitchen/dining space within the workshop with a fridge, microwave and toaster for you use and we take a 30 minute lunch break each day.

Requires 0 .75m piece fabric. Cost £350
Dimensions of large footstool are:
L100cms x W60cms x H20 or H35 (depending on height of legs)
