Christmas at Dyrham Park
Get in the spirit for a winter wedding this Christmas at Dyrham Park as we travel back in time to celebrate with some 17th-century festivities. Christmas at Dyrham will run from Thu 1 Dec to Mon 2 Jan. The site will close on Mon Dec 5, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The focus will be ‘a 17th-century wedding’ inspired by former residents William Blathwayt and Mary Wynter who married at Christmas time in 1686.
The site will be decorated with wreaths and greenery with the kitchen dressed as if preparing for a great feast. Decorations will hang from the Greenhouse’s citrus trees.
A giant outdoor wreath is planned bringing festive cheer and a great chance for a Christmas selfie for you and your family or friends.
From Fri 16 Dec, there will be a themed family festive trail linked to winter weddings and gifts.
On selected dates, local choirs will be singing in the adjoining village church.
Newly-opened Old Lodge, the play area and café in parkland farm buildings, will have a Christmas tree.

Open daily 10am to 4pm, with last entry at 3pm. Closed Mon Dec 5, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Normal charges apply to enter. Free entry for National Trust members.
