Winter Solstice Strider
The Winter Solstice Strider is brought to you by the team behind the Summer Solstice Saunter at Bolton Abbey. For this event the venue is the St. Ives Estate at Bingley and, it's in the dark!. The course has been measured with a surveyors wheel and is exactly 5k on clearly defined off-road tracks within the estate. Runners and walkers are welcome to complete either one circuit (5k) or two (10k). Every participant is chip timed but whether you run, jog or saunter, everyone will receive our unique bespoke Solstice Saunter medal this time featuring a hedgehog by moonlight. The event is supported by STRI and the Bingley St. Ives Golf Club.
For those who collect our solstice medals but can't attend in person there is a virtual option where you can run a 5k or 10k at a location of your choice on the shortest day and you will receive your medal in advance of the day.
