Although established as one of the world’s most distinguished pianists Steven Osborne is not one to rest on his laurels and every one of his concerts is an artistic adventure. To help us celebrate our 80th birthday he offers a fascinating mix of less familiar Debussy and the first of Rachmaninov’s two great sonatas. His love of jazz improvisation adds another dimension to the programme - an intriguing connection between the two worlds of French and Russian music.
