The Blessing Empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni
At this special event, Gen Osung will grant the blessing empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni, through which we make a special connection to the enlightened founder of Buddhism in this world.
An empowerment bestows upon us special blessings that heal our mind and ripen our own potential to attain enlightenment.
It is a beautiful guided meditation empowering us with the blessings, inspiration, and energy to transform our minds, enabling us to experience deep inner peace.
The empowerment will be guided by Gen Osung, (Resident Teacher of Heart Jewel Kadampa Buddhist Centre ), in a clear, light and easy-to-follow way. It will be followed by a simple vegetarian lunch, then in the afternoon, by teachings on how to rely upon Buddha, personally, as our supreme unchanging friend, to heal our minds and aid our spiritual development in our lives.
Gen Osung will give teachings on ‘Prayers for Meditation’ – a practice whereby we rely upon Buddha Shakyamuni to energise our meditations, and to manifest our own future attainment of enlightenment with creative visualisation – a profound and quick method for attaining enlightenment.
Gen Osung has been studying under the guidance of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for 25 years and ordained for 15 years. As a mother and a modern Buddhist nun, she is loved for her joyful and inspiring presentation of Buddha’s teachings, clearly close to her heart.
