Magical flying owl and conker hedgehogs coming to Queensgate Shopping

Queensgate have today launched their packed program of exciting events and activities for children and families this half-term.

From Monday 24 to Friday 28 October the Magic Owl will be landing at Queensgate! An incredible animatronic owl with a five meter wingspan will show off her flying skills every hour, surrounded by entertainers and storytellers on Monday and Tuesday.
Don’t forget to follow the owl trail around the centre too, it’ll be a hoot!. Find all 9 owls in the shop windows and collect their letters, mix them up to find the right word and pop the answer in the Owl postbox. Don’t forget to tag #MagicOwlatQG on social media too, you could win a magical prize!

Award winning environmental community project Up the Garden Bath will also be joining on 27 and 28 October to run a series of creative and eco-friendly crafting activities for children. Learn to make autumnal crafts such as conker and leaf hedgehogs using recycled materials to take home and decorate for the Autumn season!

Up the Garden Spokesperson Kez Hayes Palmer commented:
Queensgate Centre have always been massive supporters of Up The Garden Bath and we share a common ethos regarding environmental improvement. We are honoured to be asked to be part of this event and we look forward to offering a range of fun autumnal crafts using recycled materials.

Katie Chapman, Marketing and Commercialisation Manager at Queensgate, said: “We were so excited to try a new program of events here at Queensgate Shopping Centre and these activities fit perfectly. It’s going to be great to give children the chance to be creative with natural materials and we can’t wait to see the finished products!”
