The Star Above the Manger

Saint James's Singers' hugely popular Christmas concert will take place in St Mary's, Warwick on Saturday 17th December at 7.30 pm.

They are thrilled to announce that David Troughton will be the reader for the concert. Stratford-based David is an audience favourite and will be making his fifth appearance with the choir.

The music will be a blend of familiar and less well-known carols, and will include several favourites for the audience to join in. The choir will sing a new piece by conductor, Julian Harris – The Star Above the Manger, as well as the sublime O Magnum Mysterium by Morten Lauridsen and the much-loved In Dulci Jubilo and The Three Kings.

Readings will include the wonderful Journey of the Magi by TS Eliot, an extract from Laurie Lee’s enchanting Cider with Rosie and some inspiring poetry to capture the spirit of Christmas.
Tickets, priced at £15, £12.50 and £10 are expected to sell quickly, so people are urged to book seats now by telephoning the Saint James's Singers' box office on 07359 114362.
