The Hidden Garden: Tales from Baroque opera
The exceptional Young Artists of the National Opera Studio perform this very special production weaving together some of the most celebrated scenes from Baroque opera. The National Opera Studio's first major production of the 2022/23 year.
Devised and directed by award-winning director Adele Thomas - who recently directed Bajazet (Vivaldi), Apollo and Daphne (Handel) and Berenice (Handel) at the Royal Opera House.
Conducted by baroque specialist Christian Curnyn hot from conducting Alcina at the Royal Opera House.
This semi-staged performance will include accompaniment from our four highly skilled repetiteurs.
Programme will feature music by Handel, Jacquet de La Guerre, Purcell and Monteverdi.
