Join us in the Warehouse on Zoom for our spoken word and open mic night, Verbalise. We will be joined by a very special guest John Alexander Scott. Attendees can choose to take part or sit back and enjoy a feast of words.
About our guest
John Alexander Scott is a performance poet, writer, creative writing tutor, and environmental activist. He regularly performs, headlines, and comperes at open mic nights throughout Cumbria and North Lancashire. In 2017, 2018, and 2021 he performed solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe and at the 2019 Bearded Theory Festival.
In April 2020 he released an album of his poems to music by Martin Dewar called “No Other Gods”, from which several tracks were played on BBC Radio Cumbria and BBC 6 Music. John writes about what it’s like to live in the UK at this point in time, a mixture of the political and personal, poignant and humorous.
