Burns Night at The Hall

The Alex Moulton Charitable Trust invites you to an evening of all things Scottish to celebrate the life of poet Robert Burns, including bagpipes, poems, whisky, traditional dancers, a buffet-style grazing table and of course, haggis, all under the historic roof of The Hall.

All tickets sold will contribute to the charity’s efforts to restore and maintain the Jacobean Hall. Over the years the stonework on the terrace and the decorative finials adorning the top of the house have become unstable; the building is a significant part of Wiltshire’s industrial heritage, therefore this work is essential to preserving it for future generations.

Director Christine Olivieri says that “with another winter setting in we need to act fast to save these features from further damage, but the additional expenses of architectural surveys and repairs on a Grade 1 listed building is going to leave a large hole in the charity’s annual income. This event is the first of many that will help us to restore this fantastic building back to its original splendor.”

Dress code: Black Tie - Kilts or Trews encouraged

Friday 20th January 2023

PLEASE NOTE:
A limited number of parking spaces will be available by pre-arrangement only. Once full, guests are encouraged to make use of the town’s public carparks and public transport. The Hall is located 0.4 miles from the train station.

To pre-book a parking space onsite, please email us.

Due to the historic nature of the Grade I listed building, the event is not accessible for wheelchair users: there are two sets of two steps to enter the event space, and the evening is standing only, with a very small amount of seating available.

HOW TO GET HERE:
If parking onsite, please drive through the Moulton Bicycle Company gate on the Holt Road (just off of the new roundabout/Kingston Farm Estate). There will be stewards onsite to show you where to park.
