Christmas Teddy Bear Fair
A huge hug for Tiverton as teddy bear fair comes to town
Teddy bear makers from the South West and beyond will descend on Tiverton Pannier Market for what is currently the only teddy bear fair in the region.
The Great Western Christmas Teddy Bear Fair takes place on Sunday 11 December.
Visit the market to find fabulous, top-quality handmade bears from some of the best bear artists in the country.
“If you’re looking for something a little older, there will be a large number of ‘retired bears’ and you’ll discover everything from a Beanie Baby to a Steiff,” said organiser Toni-Anne Blight, who runs Archie Bears.
“Have you ever fancied making your own bear? Teddy bear kits and a rainbow of mohairs and faux furs will be available.”
The event, from 10.30am to 4pm, will feature refreshments and entertainment.
Visitors can win a wonderful handmade bear or many other prizes in the raffle, with all proceeds going to the Exmoor Search and Rescue Team.
Toni-Anne said: “We are lucky enough to hold the fair in a gorgeous, Grade II listed Victorian building.
“The hall is surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers with seating and picnic benches.
“Many of the regular traders and a few invited guests will also be open on the day.
“It all adds up to a very colourful and special event. See you there.”
