Amport & Monxton Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
Monxton and Amport are two pretty villages linked by Pill Hill Brook. Visitors have three gardens to enjoy. Bridge Cottage, a 2 acre haven for wildlife with the banks of the trout stream and lake planted informally with drifts of colour, a large vegetable garden, fruit cage, small mixed orchard and arboretum with specimen trees. Corner Cottage is a delightful cottage garden with a serpentine gravel path winding between gravel borders, clipped box hedging and old fashioned roses. A cottage style garden at White Gables with a collection of trees, along with old roses and herbaceous plants.
