Freud Inspired Painting Workshop
Be inspired by our exhibitions in this portrait painting workshop taught by artist Robin-Lee Hall. In this half day workshop, participants will be introduced to Freud’s later working methods in oil paint. We will tour the exhibition and look at his colour palette and methods of paint application. Working from references from the exhibition, participants will then develop a small painting in oils.
This workshop is suitable for those who have some experience of portrait painting and working in oils. All materials are provided.
Robin-Lee Hall is Past President of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and winner of the Ondaatje Portrait Prize. She has exhibited widely in London including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and the National Portrait Gallery. She also delivers workshops at the Royal Academy and the National Gallery.
