Online Course — Pattern, Print, & 3D Embellishment with Textile Artist
This online course is designed for those with some previous textile knowledge who want to explore some new techniques and ideas with embellishments and hand stitch. It is a great follow on course from Jessica Grady’s - Exploring Colour, Pattern and Creative Recycling with Textile Art. In this course each person will get the chance to create their own unique textile print using mark-making and pattern techniques which can then be worked into further with 3D embellishment ideas and hand stitch. We will also be exploring ways to create your own embellishments and transform simple materials to create unique handcrafted sequins and beads.
The course is structured in two parts - in the first part you will get to have fun exploring mark-making on paper. You will then choose your favourite pattern which will be turned into a printed piece of fabric to work back into for the second half of the sessions. There is a gap in-between the first part and second part of the course to allow time for your printed fabric to be made and sent out to each participant. The material packs will be posted out to participants after the first part of the workshop as they will include each participants’ unique printed fabric panels.
