Coveney & Wardy Hill Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
The fenland parish of Coveney overlooks Ely cathedral and welcomes you to four gardens: 2 School Lane, a plantsmans garden, compact, but planned for year-round interest. Some unusual plants, patio, rock garden and veg plot. Nearby, Hawthorn Cottage is a true cottage garden of roses and clematis with bee friendly herbaceous borders. A flourishing wildlife pond leads to a shaded patio with bonsai. Take a moment to visit the churchyard with natural planting. In Wardy Hill, the Hey Chapel shows its character the moment you walk up the winding path to a view of the cathedral and a magnificent veg garden then back down through a series of garden rooms, seating area, rose arbours and pond.
