Old Arley Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
Old Arley is an ancient village which appears in the Domesday book. More recently it was a small mining community and St Wilfreds Cottages were built in 1907 to accommodate the mine's supervisors and their families. The gardens vary in style and size and can be easily reached one after the other on the lane. The planting is varied, ranging from traditional cottage gardens to more contemporary.
