Hidden Gardens of Croft Road - Open Garden for NGS
Five very different and interesting gardens, well named as 'Hidden Gardens' as they are not visible from the road. Oxney Cottage is a very pretty cottage garden with lawns, herbaceous borders and roses, colourful and varied unusual plants. Nags Head Farm has a wonderful rill running alongside a sloping garden with a variety of plants leading to a quiet, peaceful courtyard. There is a large vegetable garden in which stands a magnificent glasshouse with prolific vines. A woodland walk leads to a polytunnel, view point and wildflower meadow. Orchard Gardens is a large interesting garden of mixed planting, stump sculptures, colourful themed beds, fruit trees and different imaginative ornaments. Oxney Flatts has well-stocked herbaceous borders and a wildlife pond.
