Spitalfields Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
Discover a selection of courtyard gardens, some very small, behind fine C17 French Huguenots merchants' and weavers' houses in Spitalfields. Experience an architect designed garden in Wilkes St, two small courtyards in Fournier St, and a larger imaginatively created garden in Princelet St, among others. Each garden owner has adapted their particular urban space to complement a historic house: vegetables, herbs, vertical and horizontal beds, ornamental pots, statuary and architectural artefacts abound.
