Lower Clapton Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
Lower Clapton is an area of mid-Victorian terraces sloping down to the River Lea. These gardens reflect their owners tastes and interests. New this year is 10 Almack Road, a long garden with architectural plants like trachycarpus palms and cordylines, a large pond and much York stone and London brick. Next door is 8 Almack Road, a similar space but divided into two rooms, one cool and peaceful the other with hot colours, succulents and greenhouse. 77 Rushmore Road has a fruit and vegetable garden and wildlife pond.
