Whalton Manor Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
The historic Whalton Manor, altered by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1908, is surrounded by 3 acres of magnificent walled gardens, designed by Lutyens with the help of Gertrude Jekyll. The gardens, developed by the Norton family since the 1920s inc extensive herbaceous borders, spring bulbs, 30yd peony border, rose garden, listed summerhouses, pergolas and walls festooned with rambling roses and clematis.
