Keyworth Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
Home Farm ceased to work as a farm in 1949 and since then, a garden has evolved. The old paddock is now a wild garden of unmown grass with perennials and wildlife ponds surrounded by maturing trees. The cart shed is rebuilt as a pergola with roses and the old farm garden and orchard are divided by high hedges to create hidden places to explore. Perhaps the turf mound is an ancient monument' Rose Cottage: Densely-planted with colourful wildlife-friendly plants. Many features and different zones add unique interest. A wildlife stream meanders down between several ponds and bog areas. Some narrow paths. Ash Groves inspiration comes from the land of the rising sun.
