This Is Not A Love Song
Nothing wrong with silly love songs, but you won’t find them here!
This Is Not A Love Song is a celebration of love for music and the spoken word. Whitley Bay singer-songwriter Carmen Curran will be joined by a selection of local performers for a cabaret-style evening devoted to the darker aspects of love.
Artists include Renata Connors, Harry Gallagher, Steve Gerts, JD O'Neill, So Anne-So, Tony Szymanski, Tom & Marge... and some surprises.
All over 18 are welcome - singles, couples, families and friends. Hear these songs of love lost, love shaken, love doubted or shouted in vain from the rooftops; love forbidden, love recalled, love cried for, died for or yearned for; songs of betrayal and revenge; the apology song, the break-up song, the Dear John (or Joan) song. The love tonight is for music.
You have the choice to select a Grazing Box created by chef Matei Baran to enjoy whilst watching the performers, who will all bring something different to the night.
