Vikings, Normans and Medieval Knights are setting up camp in the heart of Evesham to demonstrate how arms, armour, and life changed during the High-Medieval period (1066-1485) following on from the Norman Invasion, through to the start of the Tudor dynasty.
Each century will be represented in the battle arena – with a multi-period fight at the end of each day. Over 120 re-enactors will welcome visitors into medieval life, showing how skills, crafts and medieval medicine during these 400 years developed into what we are familiar with today.
Kids of all ages will be able to have a go at archery, axe throwing and learn the art of sword fighting during the family fun weekend of medieval mayhem.
Set in the grounds of Evesham Abbey ruins and its twin medieval churches, there will be over 130 stalls for you to browse, including medieval crafts, arts and weapons – along with modern high quality artisan traders, community groups and charities for you to get to know.
