The Old Dalby Singers were founded in 2003 by Eric Lott and are now directed by Paul Hayward, a conductor and composer from Nottingham.
Anyone is very welcome to come and join our choir.
This term, we are looking at Tudor Music since it is the 400th anniversary of the death of two musical celebrities of their day - William Byrd and Thomas Weelkes. We’ll be looking at a variety of choral music written between 1500 and 1650, including the music of Thomas Tallis, Thomas Morley and Orlando Gibbons, with a few other pieces thrown in.
We’ll be performing our programme in a variety of concerts and events in the summer of 2023 and we’re looking for singers to join us in learning some of this spectacular music. You don’t need to be able to read music - we have ways of helping you learn the pieces. We believe that music
should be available to everyone.
Come along to Old Dalby Village Hall on any Tuesday evening, 7.30-9pm, and give us a go.
