Join Friends of the Lake District on a sponsored walk across the tidal sands of Morecambe Bay to raise money to protect Lake District landscapes.
The Morecambe Bay Walk takes you across the largest expanse of tidal mudflats and sand in the United Kingdom. This landscape is constantly moving and shifting so you will be led by the new official guide Michael Wilson.
The majority of this roughly 7 mile walk will be over sand, however you will also be required to wade through channels of water, which can be knee or even thigh-high depending on rainfall, so be prepared to get wet.
This popular event will start at Arnside Promenade and end at Grange-over-Sands promenade, near the old lido.
