Behind the scenes rehearsal with English National Ballet School
Royal Academy of Dance are delighted to host this special event at which students of English National Ballet School´s Professional Trainee Programme will take part in a working rehearsal ahead of their upcoming performances at the Lilian Baylis Studio. Hosted by the English National Ballet School´s Artistic Director, Viviana Durante, the event will feature rehearsals of three specially commissioned new works.
Italian choreographer, Mauro de Candia, reimagines The Carnival of the Animals using Camille Saint-Saëns´ famous suite to open the door to a magical universe full of imaginative creatures. Katarzyna Kozielska´s neo-classical piece Arise gives the dancers the opportunities to explore the limits of their technique and musicality.
Completing the programme is Kristina Paulin´s Reminiscence, a physical representation of the works of Antonio Vivaldi, his life in the baroque era and his close relation to Anna Tessieri Girò.
