St Albans South Signal Box
St Albans South Signal Box and garden Open Day. Come and pull some levers make the signals work, ring the bells and watch Thomas The Tank Engine and Friends on our garden railway. Watch the trains go by on the main line and see how the signal box worked from1892 until closure by British Rail in 1979. The signal box has been lovingly restored and maintained by volunteers and is looked after by a charitable trust.
