The coronation of Charles III and his wife Camilla as King and Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 6 May 2023, at Westminster Abbey. Charles acceded to the throne on 8 September 2022, upon the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
The government has announced an extra bank holiday to mark the coronation, and the day will be an opportunity for families and communities across the country to come together to celebrate.
The Bank Holiday will take place on Monday 8 May, two days after the coronation on Saturday 6 May, when Charles will be crowned alongside Queen Consort Camilla, and the Waterside Upmarket in Stratford upon Avon will be in town, boasting a trendy street food court and over 70 fabulous stalls with top quality clothing, jewellery, gifts, retro, vintage, crafts and essentials and much more!
