Meet nocturnal wildlife and screeching chicks on the lagoon, camp under the stars and go on a paddle boarding adventure around the islands on this action packed weekend at Brownsea Island.
There's something for all the family on this wild adventures weekend. Arrive anytime on Saturday 1st July from 10am up until 16:30 (advisable to arrive earlier if possible to set up camp) on a yellow ferry from Poole Quay. Then set up your camp for the night before heading down to the café at 18:00 for a tasty supper. Then it's off with one of our rangers to meet some of the more elusive wildlife that comes out at night time. Head back to camp for a good night's rest so you can get up bright and early for some more adventures! The rangers will come and meet you once more to check what flew into the moth traps over night then it's down to the Dorset Wildlife Trust reserve to meet the raucous wildlife on the lagoon and take part in a couple of nature based activities. Breakfast will be at 9.30am in the café before heading back to the campsite to get changed for your two hour paddle boarding session with the Watersports Academy at 11am. Families can upgrade to bell or tree tents, please email the campsite after booking at brownseaislandcampsite@nationaltrust.org.uk. There are no shops on the island, cafe is open from 10am - 5pm.
