'Nightingale' Family-Friendly Ballet
New Creations Collective is delighted to announce Nightingale, a brand-new ballet
based on the life and works of Florence Nightingale.
This original production is the first professional dance show to explore the life of
Florence Nightingale, a complex national hero and female icon.
Experience Florence’s journey from her family home to the battlefield in this familyfriendly, open-air production, building on NCC’s track-record of exceptional outdoor
performances (The Secret Garden) in 2021 and 2022.
Through live music and dance, this unique show will take audiences on a moving
journey into Nightingale’s story of struggle and success. Narrated extracts from
Florence’s personal diaries bring her story to life through her own words.
The show features another original, breath-taking score composed by Adam Kornas
and more stunning, character-driven choreography by Nina Monteiro, performed by
an accomplished cast of dancers and musicians.
