Your local Bridgwater choir is run by vocal coach Michael Aris. We have a great year lined up and we would like to invite you to join our choir and take part in the local Bridgwater and wider Somerset community. We are part of the pioneering Rock Choir singing groups. We often team up with the other local Somerset choirs to perform in groups of 200, 800 and even 11,000 at Wembley Arena for the ITV1 documentary 'The Choir that Rocks'. These inspirational moments are unique to the Rock Choir experience. It's unbelievable and you can still join the choir.
Whether you only sing in the shower or along to your car radio, or whether you see yourself belting out a showstopper at Wembley Arena (which we did! - for the ITV1 documentary 'The Choir that Rocks'), there's a place for you in the Bridgwater Rock Choir. With no singing audition or need to read music, anyone can come along to a FREE taster session and see what all the fuss is about!
Here is a quote about our choir - 'I spend many hours every day driving and in meetings. It's often quite a struggle to get to Rock Choir and I often don't really feel like making the effort. Something magic happens when I get there - a combination of the unfailing cheerfulness of our Rock Choir tutor, the physical movement, breathing and singing, the (usually!) lovely sound of the combined voices of the choir - suddenly the stress of the day melts away, energy returns and a feeling of well-being arrives.
