Old Newton Open Gardens 2023
Old Newton Open Gardens range from cottage and wild-life friendly to those more formal in style. Some gardens are opening for the first time. There are 11 gardens opening including the Under 5s' garden. In addition the village allotments are open; the holders will be happy to show you around. The majority of the gardens are on a circular route around the village.
To amuse the youngsters, there is a Teddy Trail; teddies will be waiting to be found both in prominent places about the village and in the Open Gardens. Plants will be on sale.
Refreshments, including simple lunches, will be available from St Mary's Church. IP14 4HF throughout the day.
The day concludes with an outdoor Songs of Praise at St Mary's at 6pm. If wet the service will be held in church.
All money raised is in aid of the upkeep of our beautiful and ancient church.
