King Charles III Coronation Celebration
King Charles III Coronation Celebration.
Come along and join us for a celebratory event that all can share. Taking place at the Public Hall in Shirehampton, Bristol on Saturday 29th April 2023 from 10am until 3pm.
Being a wonderful and fun day for all we have plenty of stalls on offer from Jewellery, Garden & House Plants, selection of Candles, Personal Care Products, Cakes, Savouries, Toys, Homeware, upcycled items, environmental care items, Barbecue and Community stalls.
We have the Avonmouth Sea Cadets doing a sponsored row throughout the event. The Shynee Ladies will be doing a dance performance, in their words 'everyone needs sparkle and fun in their lives'.
The Lord Mayor Of Bristol, Councillor Paula O'Rouke is a guest at the event from 11.30am until 1pm. She will cut the Coronation Cake and make a short speech as well as talking with local people, checking out the stalls, visiting the arts and crafts and activities happening that day, before sitting down to a cream tea. The question is which do you put on the scone first? The jam or the cream.
Our local MP Darren Jones will be supporting our local community event too and as our guest.
We have arts and crafts activities which include making your own crown. You can do your own Royal Coronation pictures, paint glass jars, as well as fun board games & garden games are available to play. We also have our High Street Character Hunt that will have a royal theme and environmental theme after all King Charles III is our Environmental King.
Don't forget our 'Market Kitchen' where refreshments, cakes & scones will be served throughout the day.
This event is fun for all the family no matter what your age. This is a disability friendly and family friendly event for our 4 villages communities and beyond.
