To celebrate Local History Month, Land of Oak & Iron have invited local history groups to come together at the Heritage Centre to help tell some of the stories of the rich heritage of the Derwent Valley and wider area.
Members of local history groups will all be on hand with information, images and small displays about the heritage of the local area and North East.
Between them, they have a wealth of knowledge about the area and may even be able to help with any questions, photographs or objects passed down through the generations you might have relating to the area.
So, please drop by, say hello and find out about the various history groups, how to get involved and maybe discover more about the area and your heritage!
