There's lots of adventures to be had at Dyrham Park in May with a trail running all month and special events on each of the three Bank Holiday Mondays.
Each day in May there will be a 'wooden era trail' with images of wooden collection items from the house hidden in parkland tree branches. Learn about the pieces as you explore the 270-acre site. On Mon 1 May, there will a maypole in the plateau of the terraces for all to try out. On Mon 8 May, there will be games inspired by local 17th-century enthusiast Robert Dover who created his own version of the 'Olimpick' Games. There will be running and skipping races, throwing challenges and more. Then on Mon 29 May, visitors can help create a beautiful and sustainable flower wall in the Greenhouse made out of recycled and scrap material.
