Colchester Chamber Choir : Haydn-Mozart-Haydn
As summer approaches, now is the time to think about filling your early summer evenings with some musical treats. On May 20th in Coggeshall, Colchester Chamber Choir can offer the very thing with their concert Haydn-Mozart-Haydn featuring some of the finest sacred music of Mozart and the Haydn brothers Joseph and Michael.
You may be familiar with Mozart's Coronation Mass and Joseph Haydn's Te Deum but they also intend to surprise and thrill you with some dazzling pieces of music by Michael Haydn, Joseph’s younger brother, which Joseph believed to be superior to his own.
They will be joined by an orchestra of young professional musicians playing period instruments and four fine young soloists.
