Herts Heavy Horse & Country Show
he Herts Heavy Horse and Country Show promises to be a fantastic day out for all the family!
This exciting annual event is steeped in history and a wonderful opportunity to see the gentle giants of the horse world in action.
In partnership with the Hertfordshire Heavy Horse Association this event brings a unique chance to get up close to the impressive Heavy Horse breeds and see their presentation, handling and working – a fascinating fun day for adults and children alike!
There will be a full timetable of shows and competitions, Heavy Horse competition winners, prizes and farrier demonstrations with specialist advice.
Families can also enjoy:
- Fun dog show – enter your dog* on the day!
- Capel Manor’s colourful 30-acre Gardens
- Capel’s animal collection with daily talks at the mini zoo
- Dray rides*
- Trade stalls*
- Bouncy castle*
- Ice cream, food and drink stalls*

The Horse Show programme will run between 10:30 am – 3:30 pm. Please be aware that last admission is at 3.00pm and our Gardens close at 5.00pm.
Admission Prices:
Adult (16+) - £11
Child (3 – 15 years) - £6.50
Family (2 adults and up to 3 children) - £34
Under 2’s – Free
