The Handlebards present A Midsummer Night's Dream
Join the HandleBards for a hilarious, high-octane production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
The Handlebards cycle to and from venues and often use cycles in their performances. Their productions always get us in a spin... During the summer the troupe cycles across the UK with all of their set, props and costumes on the back of their bikes, covering over 1,000 miles and performing high quality Shakespearean productions in theatres and outdoor venues. In the winter months they travel to warmer climes, performing at international theatres and arts festivals.
This year they're bringing a brand new production of Shakespeare's classic comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream! And what’s the play about? Four young lovers find themselves lost in a magical forest, where the Fairy King and Queen are fighting for the possession of a changeling boy. A group of amateur actors head to the same forest to rehearse for a play. Humans and fairies collide and hilarity ensues.
