Caligraphy Workshop
Join calligraphy artist Chris Bowen for the next of his fascinating workshops learning the art of Calligraphy.
Chris' first workshop was so popular that we've been asked if he can run another one!
Accomplished calligraphy artist Chris is currently exhibiting his artworks at the Heritage Centre's 'Inside Out Gallery' and will be running this workshop too.
This detailed workshop will continue with techniques and learning gained from his first workshop - however, it is also suitable for those who have not had a go at calligraphy before as Chris will tailor the session for different levels.
The workshop will include Gothic lettering - characteristics, variations, tools etc. with demonstrations using brush, pens and pencils. Along with an explanation of worksheet: proportions, weight and penstrokes.
Participants will be working with 2 pencils to produce/explore gothic letterforms, then have a go with brush or pen.
Tickets are limited to allow quality teaching and 1:1 time with participants, so book soon to avoid missing out.
Our cafe will be open for other refreshments.
